many books have these for NFL only and not NCAAF, so there must be a difference even between those two, even if both are -ev.

also, if its such a bad bet, why dont these books allow for both NCAAAF and NFL?

It should be noted, there is an element of selection that should go into the proposition as well, some which I noted above.

Bet Jamaica is the only book I know that lets you do pleasers on college sides and totals.

anyone with any clue realises that 2 team, 6 point NCAAF teasers (for the most part) are a waste of money, even at +100, the reason for this of course is due to a much greater volatility in NCAAF when compared to NFL as well as the generally much higher totals.

Of course there are exceptions, LSU @ AUBURN may be one of those exceptions tonight in what is expected to be a low scoring defensive battle, but for the most part, teasers in NCAAF are sucker bets.

This leads me to ask the question, isnt a 2 game 6 point NCAAF pleaser, especially one that pays +650 tremendous value?

some of these games have totals in the 70's and spreads in the 30's and 40's, surely each point is worth much less when the total and spread are so high.

Does this not make these PLEASER bets great value?

enquiring minds want to know.

5dimes stopped taking ncaa pleasers. I hit couple of them. Best is 1st 2 weeks and then bowl games. Who takes pleasers?

Bet Jamaica. I agree about when to play them. Totals are easier than sides to hit.

Online Betting Types Pleaser's

» Sports Betting Guide » Wager Types » Pleasers

A Pleaser is a combination of a Reverse Teaser with Parlay Payoff Odds. In a Pleaser the Player is choosing to move the line on the game against his favor in return for a higher payout.

Example:
Player chooses a 2 Team 6 Point Pleaser on the Cowboys -6 and Eagles -2 for $100.
The Pleaser Wager he chose would result in the following:
2 teams
Cowboys -12
Eagles -8
$100 to win $700
As you can see in the above example the Line in a Pleaser moved opposite of a Teaser. However, the Payoff on the Pleaser is much higher. The player in the above example is risking $100 to win $700.

A $10 eight-teamer at Skybook paid $100,000 five years ago....looks like the payouts are much worse than they used to be on these things. I remember always to include Texas Tech and Hawaii sides and totals whenever I could. Never hit one, but did hit the first 6 of a 7 teamer for 30k. I had the over, yet the under would have qualified on a 49ers/Cards game Jose Cortez missed 3 fg's and Gramatica missed 2 fg's. They cut Jose Cortez the next day. I'll never forget it.

It’s funny I find this thread on here because I had a conversation with a friend about NCAAFB pleasers this past Saturday. Everything I say here will pertain only to college football and not pro. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>
The p-Value represents the necessary probability of winning an individual pleaser leg to break even on pleaser bets long term. From the table, it can be seen that at BetJamaica, the 4-Teamer offers the most value. You need to hit "only" 39.5% to break even.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
So assuming that every side/total is a 50-50 proposition, you need to find situations where the 6-pts you are giving up in a pleaser leg don’t matter 80% of the time (because 0.8 x 0.5 = 0.4 which is about your break-even point). I don’t know if this is possible, but I’m going to research it. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I’ll look at “crossing” numbers that don’t mean anything. As an example from this past weekend, look at Penn State -28.5 over <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Temple</st1:place></st1:City>. When you put it into a pleaser, you get PSU -34.5. It seems highly likely that if PSU -28.5 covers, so will PSU -34.5. Ditto if you want to play a dog that’s +27.5. You would get that dog at +21.5, which doesn’t seem like too bad of a proposition. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
As for totals, I would think the best situation you’d get in a pleaser is betting over a low total or under a high total. But I’ll look at that too. Anyone have a database of past results that could do this easily?<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
One last thing, who offers pleasers at +650? Break-even % is only 36.5%, which gives you a little more leeway...

I think all my math is correct, but not gauranteeing anything.

I try to find blowout teams since it is easier to find a team to punch one more in for the pleaser cover, and close games with low overs. Thanks to the college OT, this can help you, especially in SEC games.

Played this, got some good numbers:

maybe beginners luck....... but I think I disagree with those above who dont see value here, these pleasers would have hit ALL OVER THE BOARD today, some dogs, many favorites. I will calculate later.

2 Team 6 pts Pleaser Football, 4 pts Basketball
[320] BYU -33½-110
[339] BOISE STATE +4½-110

2 Team 6 pts Pleaser Football, 4 pts Basketball
[344] TULSA -16½-110
[362] TEXAS -34½-110

You got this on 5 dimes? Freakin bookmaker doesn't have them and diamond only has the NFL pleasers, no college
