Va tech if they played in the sec would be lucky to win a few games.

This is simply not true, V Tech would compete year in year out in the SEC and have a winning conference record if they played in the SEC. The SEC is a better conference but they are not on a difdferent level than the ACC, if they were they wouldn't have gone .500 last year against the ACC. They played a ton of games against each other as well.

I expect V Tech to give Bama a serious run for their money and this game will probably be decided by whoever makes the least amount of mistakes. In many cases I would take an experienced 55% passer that can run over an inexperienced QB in his first career start.

Should be a baseball score in this one

Really like the Bama play; I think way too many people are on an overrated Va. tech team. BOL

This beaing said, usually in ESPN/national TV games the lines are rather tight.

Major.. come on man, the spring game means absolutely nothing.

Bama has TONS of running backs, Ingram is a stud and will be MUCH better than Coffey who wasnt that good to begin with.

Bama needs other receivers and their o-line to come together and they will be there in the end.

Spring game means enough when you are looking at arm strength, mobility, etc.

solid post by gosooners. i feel there are other games on the board that have distinct mismatches that we can take advantage of early on.

One thing that I do feel about this Bama team. If they should win this first game with Va Tech, i would give them a very good chance to take it all the way and win their division again. They have a very favorable schedule with Ole Miss being their only tough road game. And although I think many of the SEC guys will disagree with me, I believe that Saban is the only coach in that conference who is capable of beating Urban Meyer with everything on the line. I don't see Les Miles or Houston Nutt being able to do it. Last season was only Saban's second year trying to right the ship that was almost sunk by Mike Shula. You give this guy more time and he can kill you. Bama will have the best defense in their divsion. And I've seen great defense take a team a long ways. They gave Florida all they could handle in last seasons SEC title game. There's no reason to think they couldn't do it again with an even better defense, and a QB that will have 12 games under his belt by then.

Totally agree on both of these. I've had both of these games circled for three + months.

Another game to watch, for me, is the UGA/Okie STate under.
