Damm this is gonna go over for sure. Sucks to all like me who picked under. I should of known to pick over as over and under in the game is 199 and normally Lakers score more in the first half then the second.

I picked under first half 95.5.

Hopefully I will win it back in the second half...

Ehh...see how the 2Q goes first, especially if you have the full game. I don't see this pace lasting the whole game, especially Uta going b2b. Might just get lucky.

I actually have the first half as under 95.5 so I know I lost that for sure. I meant I have to decide what to bet on second half to make up for the first half lost.

Hey man it's not over til it's over. I had a game this year where all I needed was 31 points in quarter to win a first half bet. Guess what, they scored 30. I've learned to chalk up a loss/win when it happens(especially in the nba)

well, i'll post something most likely...not that you have to follow. but i think there are a few 2H threads going right now, so you'll have lots of others opinions to look at...good luck with whatever you decide. hope for a nice cold streak here in the 2Q

Pretty sloppy for the first three minutes, maybe they'll keep that up. Yeah, maybe. And these mongoose v. mamba commercials are some of the worst I've ever seen. GL!!

Ohh...and I'll add to that...Mem/Den put up 69 in the 2Q and I missed my under by a point...i was pissed, 69 points in a quarter is absurd

You guys are correct. It aint over till it's actually over. BetHalfLines your plays are always good. I'll be looking forward to your 2H picks. Hopefully we can cash on that. If not will start again tomorrow...

Just curious man, why do you prefer 1Hs to 2Hs? You've displayed good capping techniques for both from what I've seen.

Slop city, on pace for a 38 pt 2Q putting the under 2H back in play. For now that is. Can't believe they can keep this crapketball up, but who knows.

If your asking me I normally only play full games as in spread or over or under if I really like the game. If I don't really like the game then I choose to look at the 1H or 2H. Normally high scoring teams with a total of over points way over 200 then bet the over in the first half. Those teams are normally expected to go buck crazy with points.

Not sure if I'm making any sense but I've been doing pretty good so far with my strategy.

Lets hope this slop play keeps up.

Anyways good luck to all!

I used to bet full games a lot, and its tough to have a significantly positive record, because vig will kill you as its tough to be that good in the NBA when compared to say NFL or NCCAF...

That said, I found myself losing a lot on late game FTs, which absolutely drove me nuts (which is why I'm not a huge fan of 2H). With the 1H at least, there is generally a lot less defense and the play isn't as hard, cause the teams know there is another half to catch up. Plus, teams have to find their shots, and kind of play lazy. Thus, there isn't stupid fouls really, or attempts to catch up quick w/ a ton of timeouts and 3's. You basically just have to consider running teams vs. slow playing teams, previous games, whether they won or lost, days rest and you can get a good idea when using it in conjunction w/ all the game stats I track. And its quick, which I like, and I know whether I won or lost by the half.

the thing that may kill this 1st half under is that the lakers are shooting ft's

Thanks for the tip Cap. The 1H v. 2H question was for BetHalf, me not very clear. Knowledge is good, chime in anytime on any questions.

And thank you BetHalf, appreciate it. Makes sense.

Now, how a team can score 56 and then struggle to score half that in the next quarter is funny if not strange. All goes back to the 1h being for show, 4Q for dough.
