Not so sure about hot dogs having a place on the list...I've lived in several European cities and they all eat similar sausage on a bun. You can find sausage stands that serve hot dogs as one of their options on every street corner in Germany.
Speaking of, French food absolutely sucks for the most part. Very rich and overrated...no idea how they got their rep as having the ultimate cuisine. Italian (or even German) as well as Eastern European is far better IMO.
