During the races, NBC is hyping two athletes 1) the sprinter who got kicked out of the last Olympics because she couldn't stay off the WEED and b) the gymnastics person who quit in the last Olympics due to anxiety. They threw in a breakdancer interview, since that is now a "sport", to chase away even more viewers.

They couldn't just keep to horseracing? Turds. It's not a day for questionable sympathy for people who have nothing to do with horse racing.

How about highlighting some of the lesser lights of horse racing. There are plenty of tear jerking and or triumphing over hard times stories right in the horse racing game.

The top 3 finishers from the Florida Derby finished 15th, 18th and 19th. Fierceness very overrated. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th betting interest ran 2,3,4. Formfull finish other than the favorite not winning.

Anyone here think there should have been objection/inquiry on 2 vs 11 , those 200 yds of bumping sure hurt #11‘s chances in my opinion .and Of course cost me thousands

The #2 would have come down in a lesser race. He bumped the #11 all the way down the stretch while moving from about the 9 path to about the three path at the finish. Very clear from the stretch run head on picture. But they rarely take horses down in big races like this. You got robbed Imr.

No way the stewards would do anything in that case unless the connections make an objection and no way the Japanese group was going to do that. I think even one of the announcers said something to that affect.
