Strip searching her with a male and leaving her in the cell naked is wrong but they did nothing else wrong here. She was actually charged for resisting arrest and was combative. If she was calm the entire time things might have turned out differently.

Maybe a bad cop, but deeper issue is US military/police sense of entitlement that unleashes violence against perceived dehumanized targets. That cop treated the teenager like a nonhuman ragdoll. I brought my kids up to respect authority and the elders just like I was brought up. Read the story..the incident happened in November 2008 and the video was only released because a judge ordered it to be..in the trial against the police officer for assault.
