When it pegs, what is the highest CPU item?

iexplore.exe 58k now, I have 5 tabs open in IE7.

When my computer was going slow it was svchost 80k

Where do I check individual CPU Usage? Is there even such thing?

To check individual you can only see Mem Usage. Well at least thats all I see.

No about processes. About the only thing I'm an expert on.

I had a virus on my computer about 4 years ago and did hours upon hours of research on processes and what they are. Plus I have Spy Protector which explains everything that is on my computer. Thats why this is such a mystery to me.


I don't really know about the fan problem you are having.

But I'd like to mention that my computer shuts it self off sometimes when it's too hot. It's been doing it for years and it's really no big deal.
