Earl Campbell is with a 'p', and his nickname is 'Tyler Rose', not like 'Pearl' Monroe and others. It's true he had a shorter career than alot of players, and it was painful to see him broken down with the Saints, but for 3-4 years, he ran over and dragged people like no one ever has before or since.

Patriot, My thoughts exactly on Bobby Orr. All these years later and still a class act. When I was a teenager the first word I taught my niece was "Bobby" .. (my sis-in-law was not too happy with that- lol)
I think you could question New England grade school kids to this day "Who was Bobby Orr?" and more of them would answer correctly than if asked "Who is the President?".

Roberto Duran, the guy is still fighting isn't he? I think his daughter will retire before him.

Maybe not so sad, but OJ was a shell of himself and the Niners for some reason signed him. He looked 3rd string quality as he played out the string.

Happy 61st Roberto!!

1951 Roberto Duran, boxer, fists of stone
