I grew up a hardcore skater from 1988-1992 (ages 13-17) and it is kind of a way of life acting like a punk. The whole world hated us just because we were doing a little harmless skateboarding. It seemed like society would rather see us abusingdrugs and commiting date rape like normal teenage boys.
With that said the bad rep that us skaters got through out my years are skate crew became more of a flock with all of the bad treatment we got. We got sick and tired of people calling the police on us just for skating and people trying to run over our skateboards or even hit us with their cars. So our innocent skateboarding quickly turned into neighboorhood terrorizing. We used to have to fight other skate crews when they were caught skating on our turf becasue we didn't want them burning out our skate spots and cutting into our skate time. We brawled with surfers and jocks on a weekly basis. We used to vandalize property of businees owners when they called the cops on us and beat the shit out of skate posers. I think at the time when I quit skateboarding was when most of the local skate crews ended up joining tagger and party crews and we all started to get our own cars and quality chicks.
I am not defending that punk in the video for cracking that poor dude in the skull but I think if society accepted skateboarding outside of Tony Hawk and the X-Games then skateboarders wouldn't act so rebellious. It's only human nature to hate the people that hate you.

But in all honesty that is some fucked up shit... That kid is a moron trying to impress his friends and look like a fucking bad ass... Sad story for the guy who was just trying to talk about his car being fucked up... No one in that whole area jumped in that is some bullshit to... A guy is getting beaten on the head with a skate board and no one in the whole crowded area does anything?
