I understand the difference, but lets see what happens. I'm sure the price will be higher than that of Moss's I'm just pointing out that not every team is going to line up with 2nd rounders for the guy, considering what his cap numbers are.

I agree. It'll likely be contenders only. He does seem beat up and he's already 31.

Calvin Johnson looked a lot worse last year than his raw numbers indicate. The Lions threw the ball more than all but 3 teams in the league. Has had bad knee problems for awhile now and showed noticeable decline in his ability.

Doubt any team is giving a 2nd rd pick for him.

Normally, I would agree with you, but this is one of the weakest free agent classes of WRs I can remember. Assuming Jeffery resigns, if you're playoff team looking for WR help, do you overpay Marvin Jones, take a shot in the draft with someone like Will Fuller or trade a late 2nd rounder for Johnson? Not an easy call. All it takes is one team to decide Johnson is the best option.

Yeah I don't really see him taking the paycut needed for a team to want to consider him but it is possible.

I was more just making a comment on his abilities. I think if he switched teams there is a good chance it is Andre Johnson to the Colts all over again. He just is very close to the end.

I think you are likely correct on the Andre Johnson comparison.

If he puts in his retirement papers doesn't he have to sit out a year? I realize he probably did not, but he'd have to do so to be free from the Lions.

I don't think he will play again anyway.

I don't know about comparing him to Andre Johnson. Johnson was 34 this past season. Calvin is 30/31. Could easily get 2/3 more great seasons out of him.

But the Andre Johnson experiment did not go to plan.

He isn't being traded so these speculations can cease here.

Why do Colts fans think they are a legit SB team? They have a good qb, no running game, decent WRs, awful OL, below average D and a horrible front office. Luck should refuse to sign extension and let them tag him or walk to a good organization that will build an OL that can keep him upright.
