Hmm I could swear during the Cotton Bowl a stop was made but the team got an automatic 1st down off the unsportsmanlike penalty. Yet the same happens in this game & Ohio State keeps possession. Both were committed after the play.

I think so. A personal foul in play is different, but once out of bounds it's the other teams ball, the the penalty
