I certainly think they could have, and it would have been a nice gesture for the fans...

he is not the star he once was, but could certainly still be a good 3rd down possession reciever, and he still has the hands, not to mention the "connection" with Peyton.....

I am sure they could have gotten to a price that was fair for both...but they felt it time to move on....I hope he can catch on with some other team, like the Bears or Vikes, who really need a WR.....

I hope his last year or 2, arent like Rice's were in Seattle and Oakland..
