This is true. You would not believe the amounts of MSG and sodium the chinese vendors here dump into their food and products.

MSG is a food additive that actually reacts with the brain in such a way that it makes you think what you're eating tastes better that an actually does, and that you want to eat more of it.

It's terrible for you and causes heart problems, but you'll eat tons of chinese food and that's good enough as far as they're concerned. Ever been to a shitty chinese buffet and eaten a truckload and then you're hungry again in like 20 minutes? MSG.

I pretty much boycott dumpy chinese take-out places because of this, though there are still some good ones out there.
