This looks like a no brainer for oklahoma right?

Well a more indepth look tells you that it isn't totally a no brainer. Texas has lost 4 of their last 6. They need a win over a big team to put on their resume. If they aren't careful they might find themselves playing in the tourney with 3 letters not 4. They are at home, with gameday their so the crowd will be around all day.

Oklahoma should still be the play in my opinion. It is unlikely that they will get caught sleeping even though texas is down this year. Oklahoma will get up for any game against texas no matter the sport. Griffin will be a hard force to deal with inside and abrams will have to carry much of the load from the outside for texas. I think the play still has to be oklahoma but let me know your thoughts....lets discuss please!

Not to mention, they are figuring the odds are so against OU to continue to go undefeated in conf. play..........what a better spot to finally drop one then on a Sat night ESPN game at Austin.

This comes up every week and I have hit Oklahoma every time. I'm not jumping off the bandwagon now.

Must win game for Texas and they are at home. They have the big men to stop Griffin, but the guards of Oklahoma are underrated. Abrams will need to put up 30 points for them to win.

I really like Texas tonight. Actually, games like this are why I like betting on college hoops more than any other sport. If you go by x's and o's, OU would be the play. However, college hoops is rarely about x's and o's, IMO. If it were, you wouldn't see so many good teams lose to bad teams when they're on the road.

I think Texas is a great situational play tonight. Not only are they at home but this is a much, much bigger game for them. Again, OU is the more talented team, but I just don't think it will be about talent tonight.

They need a big win to get in the tourney. Rivalary game, satruday night at home game of the week.

Doesnt mean they win, but their effort and intensity will be at a maximum.

Also they have the bodies to deal with Griffin. They wont be abused like other teams that have no size.

Personally i think this is a good game to stay away from.

Oklahoma has gotten bullshit lines all year though.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the unranked fave vs. ranked dog angle. If I had to venture a guess, I would say that's probably hit at about a 65-70% clip over the last few years.

I think the most tellin statistic is OU 6-0 ATS during conference play when the line is <8.

In games where they are heavy favorites they are 1-3-1. OU knows how to play the physical type of game that produces wins. They may not blow people out, but they just flat out win.

This is definitely a play for OU, IMO, especially considering which direction both teams are trending.

Look at these easy lines:

Underdog vs. Purdue and won 82-78.
5 point favorite vs. Tulsa and won 69-44.
Underdog at Kansas St. and won 61-53
4.5 favorite vs. Texas and won 78-63.
3 point faovrite at Texas A&M and won 69-63.
3 point favorite at Oklahoma St. and won 89-81.
3 point favorite at Baylor and won 78-63.

I bet 6 of those games and haven't lost with Oklahoma all year.

i would disagree about the talent level between the 2 teams, i think its pretty close actually. ou will come back to earth very soon starting with tonight, i wouldnt be surprised to see them at 4 or 5 losses when the season ends. i have them lsoing this game at missouri in the conference tournament and in the sweet 16 of the ncaas, if they are a 1 seed they will be the first one out.

I didn't mean to say they were superior. I do they think they are slightly better, talent-wise, but I agree with you that it's pretty close. Texas has underachieved this year IMO.

College teams are usually horrible on the road, so I don't know if I would ever consider a road fave an easy line, no matter who the teams are. But you're right, they've done a great job of covering so far this year.

Just saying if you would change the jersey name to UNC they would be laying 10 points on the road.
