can't see why you would do that job. scalping would probably pay better.

don't deliver to FAMU, when I was there, many places wouldnt, drivers were getting robbed, pizzas stolen frequently and sometimes beaten up as well. I think one or two may have been shot too.

with gas cost and wear & tear on vehicle I fail to see how pizza guys make any money, especially when delivering $6 pizza deals to broke college students.

I started this Dominos stuff at my home where wage was $6.25 and tips were $14-$15 an hour... transfered up here and I'm only driving now as a favor until I become an assistant manager this summer when everyone else goes home... I wouldn't take my dog to FAMU... don't even get me started on FAMU stories...

There's a reason I put in 14 hours a week at school, 20 hours a week studying, 10-15 hours a week at Dominos, and pretty much the rest of them into gambling... Gambling = much more profitable than Dominos... of course, when I get out of college, then I'll be dealing with some serious money... but for now, I've got 2 years of undergrad and 2 years of grad school to be making money as a scalper and AFL bettor... and those have been plenty profitable to pay the rent, electric bill, and car insurance... and maintain a girlfriend for the past 4 years, and becoming more and more high maintanence by the day... Lol

Thanks Frog

Hey Mr. Smith, you should come down for a football game this year. Let me know if you're gonna be around.

Scalping is for those that want some extra cash that don't have the skills nor time to actually cap baseball. I've already got one sport going this time of year. I can research AFL and keep my betting windows open at the same time, but it's hard to really cap two games well at once.

We all know your feelings about scalping Pancho. But this kid is no sissy. He is putting his time in, paying his dues. He is not sponging off Mommy and Daddy. He is astute enough to spot an earn and pursue it. I would hire him to work for me. That is my highest endorsement, sissy or not.

Bro you don't need to cap the game, if you got 20 cents to the good, keep all or part of the bet instead of scalping it back.

At the end of the year, add up what you would have made if you didn't buyback your leads, I guarantee its more than what you make from scalping.:dancefool

and don't let anyone tell you different!!!!!!!!:suomi:

That was The SHRINK'S point. Keep a higher % on the original buy. Versus balancing the scalp. Normally that is a position of strength, or a higher quality position. At least keep the lean on the buy. I would not work for free, but I would want to maximize my earn if I was putting the time in.

I was defending the kid. Not an attack on you, the hatchet is buried on my end.
More or less a respect for the kid post. The bird should have included a smile also. I will try again.

Best Wishes Pancho...:finger: :toast: OF

I had not been to Tallahassee in 13 years and I dropped by recently on the way thru on I-10 and looked around. looked a lot different.

I have been to some FSU road games since I graduated, but never gotten back to Tallahassee somehow. I will go to at least one game this year since I live in Florida again now.

Thanks again OF. One of my roomies here at FSU caps baseball pretty well, and if he is on one side of my scalp, I lean towards it. Regardless, you have to be smart enough to know what "the right side" is in a bet. Because I don't know that, and won't be able to do it consistently over 162 game season, taking an even scalp suits me just fine.

I started my gambling adventure last fall and started with $75. After this AFL season, I finally caught up to what bad money management cost me last year. Now my bankroll is much higher, making these scalps, albeit for as small as $5 at a time, at least tangible money. As Fishhead said more or less, scraping $5 out of the gutter here and there adds up.

As far as my AFL record... perhaps you should go check out my thread. Added 50+% to my account this year and hope to continue building as the season wears on. THAT is a game I can cap and cap well, thus it's what I put my time and energy into.

And just for the record, next year around this time, I'll be 21... and requesting to have the "kid" tag removed from me. Lol. It's funny though. I like it. Also, it more or less is an acceptance symbol from me. I have the utmost respect of the opinions of everyone on this board, and the reason I started putting my AFL stuff on here in the first place was to help give back to the community that has taught me a ton about being an actual "gambler"... This is a far more valuable trait that can be taught than any "5 star play" that cashes, as this is a long haul, not a big cash race.

Really? Where abouts? I live just outside of Orlando over the summer. The guys and I also take a road trip a year during football season. Two years ago it was Clemson (and don't remind me how that game went please....) and last year it was Wake Forest (almost de ja vu). This year we planned a massive baseball trip to 8 cities across the upper midwest and Atlantic Coast, but because I've been sick with a stomach problem and will be spending my birthday on an examining table, we've cancelled the trip. Always next year...

It's always nice when you can "scalp" your way through the cities of baseball... lol

Also as a serious point to make since we're in the gambling forums... I've noted that taking the time to find scalps in the "non-major" sports not only is less time consuming, but also VERY profitable.

Take last weekend's Masters for example. Pinny and several other books had weekly matchups and "will they make the cut" betting up. Though most limits are like $100 at random books, even so, just by checking in once nightly, a chore that took all of 10 minutes to do a night, I made $186 scalping off of the weekend... Not bad for a weekend's worth of doing nothing.

Same goes with boxing, tennis, even international hockey... and just about anything else you can think of that is offered by multiple books. So just keep your eyes open and you'd be surprised what type of free cash you can find floating around.

lived in Atlanta for a while and saw 2 FSU at Ga Tech games and last year lived in the NE and went to the Syracuse game. went to the sugar bowl when FSU had Anquan Boldin at QB. had to listen to ALL KINDS OF **** from pig in slop happy dumm ass redneck Georgia fans after the game in the French Quarter. Drunk ass girls screaming at me, rude boosters, groups of guys all lining up to piss in my direction. Didnt help that there were probably 10-1 georgia fans for every FSU fan. Georgias best season in 20 years and for FSU it would not have registered as a blip to win a meaningless Sugar Bowl. Were in it to win it all! Besides, we didnt even have a friggin quarterback.

living in Ponte Vedra now
