Been buying a lot of HMAX over the last 6 months.
It is a Canadian fund comprised of mostly Canadian banks.

Trades at around $14, and currenty pays a 17 cent dividend each month. Thats roughly 15% per year.

YTD the actual share price is down 17 cents. (13.93 - 13.76)

The 17 cent monthly dividend has been steady.

They use a covered call strategy.
Canadian banks are as safe as can be.

When it pays .17 cent does the price go down two days before….does this pay every month?

got a lot of SPYI. Pays .51 each month…..its were you get the price that count…. Got my at 48.34. Now at 51…..but two days before it pays it goes down .51 on the price of the stock

Pays every month.
Like all dividend stocks it seems to dip day after the ex dividend date. But it always bounces back.
At this rate it will double your investment every 5 years.
If there are better and safer dividend etfs or stocks I woukd be interested in hearing about them.

Considering putting something into VOO (non dividend ) fund.
The Canadian version is VFV.

It's Canadian based.
Not sure why you be restricted in any way.

Currently $14.76 per share.
Tempted to sell, and wait for the correction.

Bought 1300 at $14.20, and sold at $14.60. But it has continued to rise.

Sold 90% of my position at $15.00.
Rolled it into VFV @ $150 per share.

Will be interesting to see which the better position 6 months from now.
