It has been going well this past week. I hope to kick off the week with another winner on a big play. Once again Boston is playing a game that should be very high scoring and once again the number comes in below 200. If you look back I have been fattening up on Boston OVER plays all week and I this this as being another in the line. I see Tater has his "lean" as over in this one, so that adds even more creedence. I hope to "harvest" an easy 20 units off this one. Two other plays also caught my eye:
Boston OVER 198.5 (20 Units)
Memphis UNDER 176.5 (4 Units)
New Orleans UNDER 191 (7 Units)
I've been crunching the numbers a bit more extensively and I want to make 2 changes:
1) Although I have been limiting the size of my plays to 20 Units maximum, I'm going to go for 25 Units on the Minnesota-Boston OVER. I calculate this game at 228.5 and Tater has it at 215, so it is an "agreed play." I hate to have one game have TOO much import, but then again I hate to pass up on a gift....and this appears to be a gift.
2) I am reclassifying New Orleans vs CLippers as a "non play." I still have it calcing as a tiny under, but too close to wager on.
Here is my final sheet:
Minnesota OVER (25 Units)
Memphis UNDER (7 Units)
Toronto OVER (4 Units)
Just when I thought my day was done and I could focus on work (yes...I do have a "real job"), Tater calls me and tells me that Boston just traded 1/4 of their active roster.
I am sticking to my guns on the over here, but in the interest of sanity I will downgrade this one to 10 units. It is available now at 198, but my plays were made earlier, so my official play for this one is.....
Minnesota OVER 199 (10 Units)
along with the other two from earlier in the thread
The trade made things a but crazy. I'm glad I kept it as a play and I don't regret downgrading it from 25 to 10. In the long run, sensibility makes sense (isn't that the title of a chick flick ??)
Anyway....I'm off to root in Tater's UNDER on the Clipper game. I threw a few sheckles on it for sport. Good luck to all !!
But what I REALLY like is that today is the day this thread will pass 10,000 views
Today is a day to proceed with caution. I found nothing particularly outstanding....and Tater disagrees with my biggest play. I will still back my own plays as I am 26-11 since "Black Wednesday" so I feel this updated way of doing things is working very well these days.
Atlanta OVER 181.5 (4 Units)
Sacramento UNDER 202.5 (10 Units)
Orlando OVER 195.5 (7 Units)
Seattle OVER 201.5 (4 Units)
My numbers show this as too close to call....but based on the strength of Tater keying it, I will most likely make an unofficial "friendly wager" on his play. I must admit I have done well doing that.
Well it looks like the only "pain" felt tonight is mine. Unless Seattle goes to OT & scores a bunch after that, this is an 0-4 night. When it goes bad it goes bad. Hopefully nobody went too crazy on these.
Well....I can tell you now that I will have at least two biggies tomorrow:
Miami UNDER 170.5
and
Chicago UNDER 179.5
I put them both in already as I don't expect these lines to hold. I only looked at one other game...Orlando is too close to call....and I will look at the rest tomorrow.
Yesterday was NOT my best day. Funny thing about 0-4 days.....they tend to NOT be one's best day !! Silver lining is that none of them were huge unit plays, so if anybody is following the unit system it wasn't as painful as it might have been.
That brings us to today. We don't have one huge play....we have FOUR huge plays.....seven plays in all. As Arte Johnson used to say on Laugh-In, "VERRRRRY INTERESTING........"
Seriously hoping to turn it around today and get back on track with the following plays:
Miami UNDER 170.5 (20 Units)
Chicago UNDER 179.5 (20 Units)
Dallas OVER 210 (20 Units)
Golden State OVER 190.5 (7 Units)
Toronto UNDER 178.5 (7 Units)
Denver OVER 199.5 (20 Units)
Milwaukee OVER 197 (10 Units)
