For one of the few times, I have to disagree. I think Toronto will go over, in part based on changes to their offense. Do like the Orlando under and Atlanta over.
Sportsbet.....I have the Nugs at 192....too close to play IMHO.
HNYLOC.....WoW....that is VERY scary !! I am going to call Tater and see what he says about that.
Oto....oh well.....needless to say I hope you're wrong on the Toronto.....I played the Orlando Under based on Tater's play, but I don't think he saw the above article, so that might change. As for Atlanta.....I like them to go over as much as I like Milwaukee to go over
Well I couldn't ignore the article hnyloc posted....but I couldn't bring myself to play a "polish middle" so I threw some units on Orlando first half over.
I agree with Otohero's posts about the gamestyle being different, but can it really be THAT different ?? We shall soon see. I still think/hope these are two non running teams playing each other. Toronto won't be used to the new deal, so I look for Philly to take a double digit lead and then play tough D.
Tonight is the night we either storm the palace gates or get impaled trying. I have 6 plays tonight....3 of them are big.....2 of the big ones are being played by Tater.
As a result of yesterday's madness, I have taken Toronto and Orlando "off the board" for a few games just to see how their offensive and defensive philosophies go. There are PLENTY of other games to play. No reason to add undue uncertainty to something which is not an exact science to begin with !!
Now....down to the business of relieving the bookies of some of their funds tonight:
Miami UNDER 177 (4 Units) (calc = 170)
Lakers OVER 189 (15 Units) (calc = 208.5)
Minnesota OVER 181 (7 Units) (calc = 192.5)
Cleveland OVER 196 (3 Units) (calc = 201.5)
Knickzzz UNDER 179 (15 Units) (calc = 163.5)
Indy UNDER 170.5 (15 Units) (calc = 155.5)
In the words of Michael Corleone (with a slight alteration) "Tonight we will settle all family business." And in the UNALTERED words of John Blutarsky "NO PRISONERS !!!!"
I am SO glad I took Toronto off the board. It calcs at 160, so would have had a 15 unit play on Under 176. Fifty point 1st quarter and I would NOT be a happy camper right now !!
hnyloc...I didn't know about Bonzi, but yeah I think Bonzi's absence helps under so I'm not looking to back off......and I really do appreciate the flow of info....please keep it coming !!
Yeah....thanks for pointing that out, Buffrock....I never would have realized it.
Anyway, brutal week is forcing me into a hiatus for awhile. Knowing when to take a break is as important as picking winners. I'm not ashamed to admit I have gambling issues....and I have learned over the years (the hard way sometimes) that there is no future in "chasing" or playing with "scared money." So for now I will focus on business and when I have stored up some "ammo" I will be back. Probably around the first of the year.
Last night's 1-5 debacle leaves me at 28-28 and Minus 42.5 Units.
I will not be calculating or posting plays until I am ready to back them with my own $$. My system is tried and true....and it will make money over the long run. If I made one mistake, it was not limiting the size of some of the plays. I know this is a "grind-it-out" type of system, so when I do come back it will be with smaller units on the bigger games.
Enough rambling.....I wish all here a fun & profitable December.
How many hours do you plan on not gambling for? Seriously good luck with that, but if do decide to rejoin the rest of us degenerates don't forget to post your picks.
Ok....I have spent the last two days in a secret labratory, seven stories below the surface of the earth, crunching numbers, crunching my NUTS, and living on nothing but Captain CRUNCH !!
As a result, I have made....what I *hope* are vast improvements to my formulatic approach to this NBA quagmire.
I'm not ready to invest large sums on these yet, but I did place a few "friendly wagers" backing these plays....so I guess the answer to M from T's question is....."about 40 hours." But I have reduced the number of Units each game would be and also SUBSTANTIALLY reduced the $$ per unit I am investing.
I do like them enough to have Scorekeeper count them though.
I have come to two conclusions during my long absence:
1) Don't let any one game carry too much weight.
2) NEVER wager on the NFL (well....that is a separate story)
Ok.....28-28 going into this....courtesy of a 1-5 asskicking I took Wednesday night. Minus 42.5 Units. Here are tonight's plays:
Knicks UNDER 175.5 (10 Units)
Indy UNDER 176.5 (7 Units)
Phoenix OVER 181 (5 Units)
Philly UNDER 175.5 (5 Units)
