you just might have to admit that the potential for a major gambling problem might exist. Everyone should examine their thought about trying to be a major player on gambling. In the long run very very very few will be a success. So when somebody says they are thinking about quiting nobody should ever try to talk him out of it. The mods are not going to tell you to stop gambling what good does it do them for you to stop. Hell seeems like half their game is to encourage more gambling. This is a business people they are here to take your money (the books not the mods). How else do you explain billion dollar casinos being built all over. Check the ego at the door stop living off that 1 or 2 great runs you had sometimes you never get it back.
First of all I believe EVERY single MOD has done just that in the past...there is NO Mod who wishes someone with a gambling problem continues...and if you do a search you will see Mods have in the past tried to be helpful and show concern for someone who has admitted to having a gambling problem.

Your post is wrong. You told Chop that he should keep posting his picks. If you are any sort of a gambler and think somebody that gambles alot can do the research to post picks and not bet on them that is just nuts. Secondly you MODS have lost a lot of respect from the posters with some of the BS that's been happening in here lately. Secondly I don't think this site is a garuntee to make money, that seems to be the company line from you mods Fish says it all the time so there is another point that shows you guys encourage posters to bet.
The way winningstreak was attacked shows me that people in here have gambling problems. Gamblers (some of them) can be some of the most degenerate people in society. That is fact you and I both know.

I love to gamble and I love this site but sometimes you guys just don't put the brakes on. I am just trying to be on the other sideto show people that it's not easy to do this. And by reading this site day after day you hardly ever hear a post like WinningStreak's in here. Now I see why he got trashed. I think he got abused like that is becuase people started to look at themselves and figured they might be just like him. I want to know how many college funds have been lost by people on the RX. Weather you bet $220 or $22 it is all relevant as you'll be lucky to hit 50% of your bets and 52% breaks you even.

I can see some of your points but to suggest I do that is wrong, I feel worse than anyone if somone loses money because of something I told them to play...and I would never encourage a poster to bet.

Or would the books not like that. I think that would be a good idea. People are always afraid to admit they have lost all control of thier lives and need help.
I just want people to understand the pitfalls of gambling like you need to win rent money. Just like the poster above said just put a little on the game and watch and enjoy. If EDM covers tonight it will not cost me my car payment.

I have always admitted losing when I do...and I think plenty of people admit to losing...I've had great years and bad years too...I have said many times that 99% should not try and make a living gambling and should play for fun...I know I couldn't do it, even if I thought I was good enough.
There is nothing wrong with venting after a loss, in the end there are no excuses.

But, I also do not agree with wishing anything viciously negative on someone else. That kind of thing usually comes back to you. I'm superstitious like that.
Therightside, Robfunk is right in a sense, in saying it's not that tough...once you make the "basics" natural, you will succeed....only true way to fail in gambling, which bookies, linesmen, and pro cappers know the general public will never learn, is bad money management, and a soft heart/stomach.
Anyway, my point is, there were tons of ways for you to respond to Robfunk's post, why'd you respond wishing that on him/her?
