I concur. Outside of their bullpen, the Twins are simply not very good.

The thing is, most aren't fooled by their record. The odds you're going to see are not going to reflect a 30-19 team because almost no one considers the Twins to be a good team.

With that said, I'll be fading them.

Good luck to you guys with your fading.

This team has been the definition of value. The kind of team I pray for.

In 49 games they have only been favored in 7 of them. Their highest favorite price has been -120. 4-3 as favs. That leaves 26-16 as dogs. They haven't lost three straight since 4/13.

They are 2-0 +215 since this posting. I wouldn't even consider fading them 'till they lose three straight again.

The oddsmaker (other bettors) clearly feels like you faders. That's why they are dogs at a 7/1 ratio. That's incredible for 60% winning team.

Good luck with the fade strategy. My strategy is to ride the live barking dog 'till he ain't barkin' any more.

this is the first time I opened this thread, and Jake T I'm not here to bust your balls

I'm on a major run since mid April, just pulling shit out of my ass. And one of the biggest reasons for my run is the Twins. I can't believe I'm still getting plus big money lines on them

Monday I had them at + 160+ for $ 700, my biggest bet on this run but it was rained out.

Here you have the team with the best record in the AL, a team that's 30-12 since the 1st week of the season, a team that's 8-2 in the last 10 getting +160 against the 22-29 Red Sox and an uninspiring Buchholz

it doesn't make any sense

the Twins have chemistry and confidence, the Red Sox don't.

Now things can and do change, and I'm sure the Twins will come down to earth. But I'm not betting against them while they're red hot and getting +120 +130 and even +165

shit happens, that's why this gambling shit is so hard

it's hard to expect the unexpected

I see we're thinking alike

I was raised as the strike zone was knees to shoulders, but it seems the strike zone is knees to thighs

I think they've expanded the strike zone in recent years, going higher and not lower

Twins lose. Score 0. Offense is dead.

I agree with the OP

After that putrid performance yesterday, it's time to fade this team hard

It was 45 degrees last night. What you failed to mention is that the Red Sox only scored one run.

When Bucholz is right he's as good as anyone. You may not know it but he did throw a no hitter in his second career start.

The problem with fading the Twins is the oddsmakers/free world still think they suck so unless they totally nosedive you just aren't getting the value fading them.

Not sure about that pats. I would agree with you if this was a team that had a mediocre may and we expected them to slowly fade. But this team overachieved at a historic level. I expect a huge correction over june.

So does the market, they're dogs in every game. For this angle to be profitable they need to be winning at like a 40% clip.

Just because a team is overachieving doesn't mean there is betting value on them if everyone knows it. The Chiefs in the NFL a few years ago a good example of that. Yeah they were 9-0 but everyone knew they were barely beating close teams and were pretenders.

Twins lose again.

You`re fading the wrong team......Twins are the Royals of last season.....Scrappy bunch......Perkins is automatic in the 9th.
