lol, that must have felt good! did they drive off or did you sprint away?
I stood there and proceeded to tell them off. I was hot! Adrenaline pumping I guess. 3 idiots in the car looked scared as all hell. They didn't say shit. I jogged off as they pulled over and they didn't proceed to call me any names until I was a good 30 seconds down the road. Pussies. They didn't follow me or try to find me though. Guarantee they won't try that shit again

I saw this just yesterday. I shook my head.

it was 5am and the sun wasn't out yet. and it was two women side by side.....it is dark and they took an unusually large part of the road. Lucky I didn't hit him as I was coming home from an all night poker session
Now that right there is stupid.

I am staying on the sidewalk. Period. I don't care how bad the sidewalks are. Maybe the streets were safer back in the day. But today we have drivers texting, talking, fiddling with their coffee, read their GPS, reading their emails, etc, etc.

No. I am not going to roll the dice and hope that some distracted driver will see me in time. IMO.
or worse ...

Had a 2005 Duramax Diesel truck for a few years. One of the best things about that ride was the ability to hammer the gas pedal, blowing out a huge cloud of black smoke, right in the faces of those running or riding bikes on the road instead of the sidewalks. Got flipped off a couple times, so I would slow down and hit them again with the toxins.

During the summer I run outside on the streets. I don't use the sidewalk too often because they are usually in questionable shape, you have to avoid other people and objects, and yes the asphalt is better on my knees. However, I try to run in industrial areas, and off main thoroughfares and ALWAYS run AGAINST traffic so I can see what's coming at me.. And yes, I know accidents happen all the time so I stay alert.. I'll also tell you this- once somebody threw a coke bottle at me while I was running so I turned around and sprinted after the car... Guess what???? They had to stop for a light. Now guess who got a nice sized roadside landscape boulder dropped on their trunk and rear window? So before any of you fat lazy bastards think about messing with joggers, remember 2 things- will I ever see this person again, and make sure it's not me

Why do you assume we're all fat lazy bastards because we don't like people running on the street while we're driving? I'm not fat or lazy.

I run 2-3 thousand miles/year. I see jackass's doing this all the time. There are great running trails and sidewalks all over the place (here in the DC area). Not sure why someone would run in the street.

But my favorite is the bikers (bicycles). I have a lot of friends that do triathlons and I ask them all the time, "Why do these a-holes ride 2, 3 abreast in the road like they own it?" I'll come up on 2 or 3 bikers in the street, going at least 5-10 miles under the speed limit and totally blocking traffic. I honk every time. If they give me an attitude, I yell, "Share the road!" They hate that! But what I don't understand is why they do it. Do they realize that if a car hits them - right or wrong - they're going to lose?

I actually know 3 people who were killed. 2 were on bikes. 1 was my friends sister when she was in elementary school. She went to catch the bus to school and was standing on the side of the road when a car took her out. I was really young at the time but that one always stayed with me. I don't even know if the driver was drunk or what exactly happened.

Check what you quoted and how I'll respond to that is- joggers and physically fit people in general wouldn't be "MESSING" with other people trying to get a workout In ... If I wanted to make more assumptions I'd say that no self-respecting individual would fuck with somebody the way they fucked with me.. And in my experience MOST (not all) lazy people have zero self-respect... Either that or they are stupid.. I mean really.. I'm 6-3 230.. You wouldn't worry about running intoe again?

I don't run on the street. I run on a treadmill and do bike work. This has nothing to do with a non-runner pissed off at a runner. It has to do with being safe on the street. I am physically fit and would certainly say something to you if you were running in traffic. I'm 6'1 and 195. Would have no problem telling you to get your ass out of the street (don't think you do, just saying in general).

Me too but good to mix it up sometimes especially when I'm Training for mid-summer TRI or marathon.. My point being this.. I understand that it's dangerous and maybe mildly dumb in certain settings and areas so I avoid those areas whenever possible if I do run outside. However, if you fuck with a jogger just for the sole purpose of fucking with them, then you just don't get it, or fat&lazy, or just a douche bag.. Or all 3

The ones on bikes will get in the middle of the road at times and hold up traffic.............although I've seen less and less since the decline of he Lance Armstrong brand name......During Armstrong's prime they would be all over the road like they were all training for the Tour De France

I forgot all about that....you are right, it was much worse then. At least half were wearing the color yellow for some reason like Lance usually was too...
