i think this line is way off too but i still have to bet the yankees in this game though.

pitchers off of 3 days rest have a terriable record.

IMO. both starters can be counted on to pitch well. Then it will come down to the battle of the bullpens, if the Yanks lead after 7 innings they are big favorites (Rivera). On the other hand, if the Yanks are tied or behind after the 7th. inning, they put the Marlins in a spot where they can steal the whole thing.

Wow, I don;t bet baseball but it looks like it's time to make an exception. The line on this game is a joke. Beckett's young, I think he will be ok

Wil- Excellent points.

On the surface, the Marlins appear to offer value.

Beckett is an excellent pitcher, but been asked for 33 2/3 INN's in the playoffs and is now going on 3 days rest. He is 4-7 away and his ERA is almost a full run and half higher on the road. The Yankees have seen his stuff and should hit him better the 2nd time around.

Veteran Andy Pettitte is 15-5 at home. As you mentioned the Yankees have a big edge with Rivera.

I don't see any value with the Marlins tonight. This World Series will probably be decided Sunday night.

Pick: Yankees -1.75

Fu(k yea.

Three more outs. I cant wait to go out after the conclusion of this game. If the fish win, this city will be quieter than a cemetary - music to my ears. I hate the AL, the Yanks, and the slobs down the block rooting for them.

Nice call Shrink. Beckett mowed down a great AL lineup like it was all NL pitchers

Brian over at sportswagers recommended the Marlins several months ago when they were as high as 75/1 to win the world series. I never would've made the tiny future wager without his evaluation- great call man.

I wasn't really hedging tonight, I thought the Yankees would send it to game 7.
