Nice to see another strictly-only MLB Over/Under player on the forums... I've been the only one every single day on here all year so welcome. I always like to see other opinions on them, especially from those who exclusively focus on them such as both of us. As a result, I look forward to comparing picks if we both take the same game. For some reason, it's an endeavor most people don't focus on even though it's potential for success is very high, as I enjoyed last year (366-270-42). This year, not as much, although I did just enjoy a 60-percent run from August 2nd to the beginning of September, and I attribute that to the more steady bullpen work around the league... the first half was a nightmare in terms of blown saves and bullpen collapses. I believe there's a stat out there saying it was of historic proportions, and since I'm more of an unders guy than an overs guy, that was killing me in the most unusual of ways.
As for your two picks tonight, I am indifferent with that Laffey vs Hughes matchup so I'll be staying far away from that one. However, I took the Cloyd vs Hefner over as well so that's good to see you're on board with that one as well. Hefner might be very solid within the near-future (Although not necessarily this year since he's been shuffled between the bullpen and rotation recently, which hurts his mindset) but with the way Philadelphia has been hitting, they can get to him. Tyler Cloyd is more of a slouch to me at this point in time and the Mets can easily scratch across at least a couple. I was also very surprised the line was 8 instead of 8.5. GL
P.S. Thank you for referring to them as "OVER/UNDERS," rather than "Totals." I can't stand when people use the term "Totals" because it's incorrect. We are betting on an Over or an Under, therefore meaning the bet should more simply and appropriately be labelled "Over/Under." Hate Hate Hate seeing the term "Totals" being tossed around, especially when it's mostly by people who don't often bet them or study them like you and I do.
