If Blackburn win today they can clinch the UEFA cup spot. They are at home and playing a Chelsea side that are simply looking to avoid a Wayne Rooney type injury. Their entire squad are practically heading to Germany this summer are with the title wrapped up I see Blackburns aggressive style and huge incentive to win as the difference here.

well said joey...

I dont often post my previews on this site as i dont get so much time at work to write them, but as we speak...odds have gone up a bit:

Blackburn vs Chelsea over 2.0 @ 1.84 Samvo 6/10

Pretty confident on this bet to be honest, but taken the over 2.0 line instead of the 2.25 just to be extra safe.
The reason for the pick is Blackburn if they get a point will be sweating on the last day about who gets the last 2 uefa cup places with :

Blackburn - played 36 - 57 points

Newcastle - played 37 - 55 points (and chelsea to play last)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bolton - played 36 - 52 points (with boro and birmingham to play)

it could all get messy, but today its been rumoured that Essien, Makalele are to be rested and possibly one or two more, though they have decent replacements in Gudjohnson and Diarra(who isnt named in chelsea's reserve game tonite) who i think are likely straight replacements. Im curious to know that if Mourinho is resting Essien and Makalele for their national teams WC squad, who he mite rest for england ?
In any case, its the ideal time for Hughes to take the bull by the horns and get 3 pts for a guarenteed uefa cup place, but if anything with Lucas Neill moving to centre, i dont know who will partner him? Mokoena ? or Khizanishvili and Mokoena back wide ?
In any case, with the Absence of Terry through injury and Huth in to replace him (who i dont entirely rate and doesnt have the pace to keep up with the likes of Bellamy, or Reidy, i hold my breath expecting both defences to be troubled by each others' key attackers tonite, but its a game i think Blackburn can ill-afford to not pick up at least a point tonite.
