Twice before they have faced in the knockout stage, with Chelsea winning the first fight, but Barcelona winning last year to go on and win the Champions League title later.
This would have been an exciting rivalry today, if Chelsea’s two goalies, especially Peter Cech had not received an injury in the Saturday’s game against Reading. This will be a cutting edge in this game, because even though Samuel Eto’o is out with the injury, Barcelona still has a great attacking potential with Lionel Messi, Deco, Ronaldinho and others.
Chelsea looks like a superpower house, at least on paper. In reality though, newly acquired Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack have not found their game and struggled to produce any offensive input for the Blues. The defense is strong as always, but absence of the top class goalie will be a killer for them, in my opinion.[/FONT]
