Its not a real accomplishment for Cleveland to win the east. They know changes must be made if they are going to win the title.

Ya, a change that brings in a guy like Pop, Carlisle or Thibs would leave them in a better spot. Ty Lue? You've got to be kidding me. Nothing is going to change. Lebron was coaching the team with Blatt and now he'll continue to coach the team with Ty. This was a move to appease Lebron, not to better the team.

For the record, I like Lebron and think he's a solid guy. Stuff like this is more a product of everyone blowing smoke up his ass and giving him whatever he's wanted since HS. It's not him being a bad guy.

Carlisle on Blatt Firing: I'm Embarrassed For Our League.

It didn't take long for the President of the NBA Coaches Association, Rick Carlisle, to chime in with his thoughts on what went down Friday afternoon in Cleveland.
"I'm embarrassed for our league that something like this could happen" the Dallas Mavericks head coach said Friday night when speaking with reporters about the Cleveland Cavaliers firing head coach David Blatt. "It's just bizarre. It just leaves you with a bit of an empty feeling because Blatt's a great guy and he did a great job there."
Blatt was fired by the Cleveland on Friday afternoon despite leading the team to the best record this season in the Eastern Conference.

Carlisle spoke highly of Blatt and while he didn't say the Cavs could not do what they did...he did sound a bit puzzled as to why they did it.

"I've read some of the comments that came from the Cavaliers and teams have a right to make changes...but David Blatt is going to be a highly sought after coach this summer if and when there are openings...if he chooses to stay" Carlisle said. "After this, you just hope a guy like this is still open to coaching in the NBA."<strike></strike>

Completely disagree with this. If you want to bag on Lebron for how he left that's fine, but I'll never understand why people think Lebron should have continued to waste his prime being Michael Jackson playing with a bunch of Tito's just because it was his home town. He had a chance to go play with his best friend who also happened to be a superstar in his prime.

This really is astonishing when you think about it. A coach takes the team to the NBA finals where they lose in six games and has the best conference record in the East and gets fired. I don't think this could happen in another sport. Maybe the NHL where teams seemingly fire coaches every few weeks.

Don't forget Byron Scott was fired mid-season after leading the Nets to back to back finals. That case was because of Jason Kidd didn't think Scott was the coach to lead them to a championship. That is why i still root against Kidd wherever he is coaching.
