There are plenty of places I'd move to. However the only place I would pursue a move to would be Vegas.

No disrespect, but I would never understand why someone would prefer FLA or CAL.

Cost of living is less in FLA. Thats the only advantage. And I guess there is a reason for that...

Don`t get me wrong....Beautiful place,Walnut Creek California.

I actually lived their in the early 90`s.

I prefer Florida.....With that said,we actually have real estate in Cali and her family is their.

So who knows what the future will bring....We`ll see.

The day I move to Vegas, is the day I give up and say its over.

Pass over it no matter what direction you move. Vegas is a place to visit. Not a place to live.

Yeah had a friend move out there about 15 years ago. Works for USPS and did a transfer .... Everyone told him it's a big mistake, he was in Money trouble within 2 years... but he did get out of it
not sure what he's doing now

Well I have a place in Florida and I love it there. But I'm right across the street from the Ocean, so not as hot as being inland ..
The Biggest downside of Florida are the Drivers .... then comes the Timing of their Lights. lol

Any place would be great, experience different cultures and meeting different people, life is too short to spend it in only one or 2 places.

I grew up in Los Angeles, while there's things to love about cali, there's more to hate. Lived in San Diego too, seem lots of people want to go there too. I didn't like SD it was overcast like almost everyday when I lived there. LA is super crowded and traffic everywhere, plus I hate the economic policies in Cali. I've been in Nevada since 2006 and like it way better here. I get all the seasons, not a lot of traffic, but it's big enough here that I get all the amenities of a larger city.

If I was going to move somewhere, and could do it, I'd want to go to a different country. I'd love to live in Switzerland or Germany, or one of the Germanic/Nordic countries, an get in touch with the culture where my great grand parents came from.

One thing to add to this

Cost of living in Midwest is great. I would have to be a multi millionaire in California to afford the house I have in the midwest. But the weather, lack of diversity, and general boredom is the tradeoff
I grew up in New England(RI) and moved to Indiana 24 years ago for my job. Cheaper cost of living was the main reason for the move and have no regrets for making the move. Love it here and the weather is much better here than New England.

Love it down South for this very reason. Cost of living is comparable to the midwest but the scenery and weather are SO much better.

And having good weather pretty much year-round, combined with some nice natural beauty, really opens up the things you can do to get out of the house.

This is not true. We have 3 seasons. Hot, rainy, and really fucking hot and rainy.

Seriously though I know whatcha mean. My folks still live in Chicago, so I get to go see snow at some point each winter. 3-5 days in that cold is enough for these old bones these days though and I'm usually more than ready to come back. Ya feel me?

I've lived in New York, California, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Colorado and the past 8 years in and around Phoenix, AZ. Nothing comes close to life in Arizona. And I can hop in my car and be in Vegas in 5 hours. Gotta love that.

Last 10 years I have been in Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, and now Alabama. I'm eyeing Charleston SC as my next stop, probably next year.

In regards to Charleston, Folly Beach was nice when I was there for an extended stay. Its "removed" from Charleston but close enough to be Charleston Metro (I believe anyways). If you'd need to be in Charleston on the reg traffic to and from would be a potential con to living in Folly but if a regular commute to Charleston would not be necessary just you needed or wanted to be within that particular area Folly Beach should be considered when moving to Charleston is considered.

Yeah I have some friends on John's Island and my work has a big warehouse in Summerville.

There are a lot of nice little areas outside (but still close to) Charleston metro.
