The rule at the book I use: If a game is cancelled or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called).
Illini,
Typically, the game is not resumed the following day, and thus the finish is the official game. In this case the game would be resumed tomorrow therefore, I don't believe books will pay out unless phillies pull out the win tomorrow.
It's happened several times before, and those are the rules.Illini,

This means that if, for example, it was a 2-2 tie game after 6 full innings... then top 7th, the away team gets nothing... the bottom of 7th.. home team gets 1 run with 1 out... it's now 2-3 in bottom of 7th... and the game gets called with 2 outs in bottom 7th inning... that's how the home team can win the bet without finishing the full inning.what does this mean exactly?
It isn't going to end this way. They are playing the game tomorrow, but the books will grade this a win for Philly.
