That goes for the limited amount of spectators too. Players and spectators also have to wear masks as that is a state requirement. Not a real shock that they would do this. I think they were having issues getting enough dealers and floor people to work the WSOP this year because vaccinations weren't enforced. Dealers don't want to sit there for 8 hours going table to table and sitting inches away from a player who could be carrying virus.
Obviously you can still pass it if you are vaccinated but they are being cautious. You can't play unless it has been 14 days since your second shot.

Players over 21 years of age seeking to participate in the 2021 WSOP must provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to registration. This includes all WSOP bracelet events, side events, satellites and live action or cash games. In order to be considered “fully vaccinated” you must receive your final vaccine dose at least 14 days prior to your entry date. The Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino reserves the right to modify any and all Official Tournament Rules at any time in the interest of health and public safety, including, but not limited to adding any requirement that a Participant must be fully vaccinated and/or complete certain testing or screening in order to participate or continue to participate in the WSOP.

This would scare the shit out of me. Can you imagine being day 5 chip leader in the main event, testing positive, and getting DQ'ed like Rahm at the Memorial?

If you want a chance at a WSOP Bracelet, this would be the year. I think it will prob hold a * by the name due to the Vaccine rules but hell the world we live in everything seems to have a * by it. I may end up playing in one of the $500 Holdem Tournys, I should have Full Vax status by then.
