Not much response but I'll persevere a while longer. As I said, We are looking for 4 Teams which have solid defences who will be capable of keeping a clean sheet against one of their group opponents. :drink:

They were my choices but I'm no expert, thats why I'm asking for views. I think everone has jumped the Gun talking about the value overall but value in any bet is based on perception, most betting is a knee-jerk reaction which compounds the bookies margin but a well thought out methodical approach lightens it somewhat. So thats why need opinions, starting with looking for the 4 best Defences. As I have said before, I have seen this bet knock Books scatty, albeit being used by some smart people but there's no reason to believe we cannot give it a go with our knowledge.

As there hasnt been too many views coming forward I have decided 2 of the 4 Games will be,

ENGLAND v PARAGUAY
SWEDEN v PARAGUAY

Scores to be decided later. I'm toying with the Idea of picking the Pasta Bashers, even though their huge let-down material they usually knock out a few 1-0s in the first round. Thoughts? :drink:

England and sweden both have solid Defences and these middle of the road South American Teams always play the same Football, fuck around and hope to catch a break. In some ways its like the Pasta Bashers, they work so hard at that tactic they cannot adjust when they go behind and then start blaming each other. These Paraguays, Columbias, Perus , Ecudorians are all the same, the problem is the score. Being the 1st round, I would side on 1-0,2-0 because even going one down doesnt change the tactic. :drink:

One can pick on Paraguay since they are more defense oriented. But they have forwards capable of scoring. Paraguay is better remember for giving France a hard time in WC 98. Maybe Ukraine since SPain has trouble scoring. But that's it for the moment.

Your 100% correct Jack and I wouldnt ever try to tell anyone there is value in correct scores with the Books. This is more a situational play but none the less, recreational. Hope your getting some winners.

I agree, I've even backed Ukraine Outright but My bottle went on betting them in the last leg, now I'm in a dilemma, wish I hadnt picked that game. Still no point in worrying until I get there.
