GERMANY-SWEDEN:
These Two Teams have the classic look of perception you get after a Group stage. Germany winning Three has everyone thinking their back to their best, forgotten are the pre-tournament doubts about not enough class players and still inexperienced. Even that Costa Rica scored Twice and they went 90 mins against Poland scoreless has been pushed to the back of the Memory Banks. Sweden on the other hand have been seen as disappointing for some reason and their solid play in Qualifying, stingy defence has also gone to the back burner.
I priced this up as Germany 1.78 on the strength of Home advantage and as I have said before, its OK opposing your Favourite on value grounds in long term situations, but I dont like doing it in these type of Events. Because Sweden are the value, I'll go back to their old form of good defence and concentrate around that, I also think Germany will play a lot stiffer knowing this is knock-out Stage. With that in mind this could easily end up scoreless and if Germany go 1-0 up, I can see the Panzers getting parked up in Front of Goal.

ARGENTINA-MEXICO
The same thing applies here, considered a very good Team before the Tournament, The Argies are now World beaters after knocking out some cannon fodder, The Mexicans as usual, have underachieved. While Mexico will play better in the underdog role, these Central/South American games can be cagey and although well overpriced will probably still get beat. However, any value lies on the Mexican side of the betting so a steal is the order.
