Czech Republic at around 30 to 1 is an excellent long shot bet to win the 2006 World Cup. The Czech team has experience, speed, and tremendous team coordination. They can compete with the strongest teams and with some good fortune, have a reasonably good shot to win it all. Certainly, the odds offered make a bet on the Czechs an irresistible investment. 500 to win 15000 sound good? It does to me ...

I've got a question. True, Czech Rep is a very good team however, what are you guys basing all this comments on, I mean , what have the czechs done? I can't stop wandering if all this comments come from people that saw the FIFA ranking (bullshit by the way) and start talking like this team is the new France or what?

Czech Republic are classic under achievers, they have zero shot by my estimation to win it all

-190 to -210 isnt bad to come out of the group however

you may get lucky and have them into quarters and find a scalp/hedge opportunity however

IMO, the best longer shot bet is Portugal. They are also classic underachievers but have fantastic talent and should have won Euro 04 (granted, it was at home) and have a proven coach. They are also in great form and haven't lost in quite some time.

Best bet to me is CONMEBOL to win, which is anywhere between +150 or +200 and gets you both Brazil and Argentina in the same bet.

So what you you guys saying? Czechs don't have a chance. The FIFA ranking is nothing everything is base on their players. I dont' see any other group especially taking into consideration the way they are currently playing. Once the first round is over The Czech could face Brazil in the second round if they come in a second in their group.

Let look at the logic on each group:
A:Germany , Poland
B:England , Sweden
C:Argentina , Holland
D:portugal , Mexico
E:Czech Republic , (Italy)
F:Brazil , Croatia
G:France , South Korea
H:Ukraine , Spain the second round could be very interesting.

Chance, yes, likely to win, no. Their group is brutal and if they don't win the group (which is a very distinct possibility), Brazil is the prize in round of 16. Additionally, Galasek, Rosicky, Smicer and now Baros are all hurt and Koller hasn't played much in the past 8 months. I like them as a team and think they are talented and skilled. I also think they are worth a shot at 30-1, but a small wager only. I would like them more if they were healthy.

Czech have a great chance of winning their group. Let analyze this Italy is good but their teams lack depth. US is very young and is very different from last four years. Too much youngsters. Ghana is good but usually their senior team don't do much unlike their under 21. Czech is very strong and from the friendly that team is very capable ot scoring and winning that group.

I'm hoping the distractions are just enough for Italy to fall to the Czechs. The US is pretty much a non issue in my book---Italy and Czech should both beat them.

TT I think everybody is underestimating the US team, I say they move on from the group stage, possibly tie Italy and beat the Czechs

should be interesting :103631605
