Every area is different but where I am from there are not many black guys fitting into that dream of Dr. Kings. My point for posting the quote is if that is really their goal of these protest, as so many claim for it to be, then why do the things to just push that dream farther are farther away? their actions make no sense.
Their Actions make No Sense to you bcuz you are believing that a large percentage of Blacks (and especially those who support BLM) do now or did EVER Truly care about MLK's Message beyond how that might benefit them in getting as much Free Stuff as they possible could.
Like you, when you say "All Blacks aren't like that"...
I don't mean to include ("Blanket") by any means the entirety of The American Black Population in that statement. In fact I don't even mean to imply what is the largest percent of Blacks, in that.
Consider the actions of those protesting with the desired outcome being to get a Fat Reparations Check, like, we're talking $50,000 per Black Adult with verifiable lineage back to Slaves, $15,000 per child below 18 years of age....and their actions will make better sense to you.
That Fat Check, along with whatever Free Stuff they can finagle, amidst their "struggle", their Protest along with the opportunity to possibly LOOT some free TVs during a Protest that turns into a Riot (like in Milwaukee recently) and best of all LOOT a Pharmacy for OXY and other Dope...
...these is the goals of a great many Black Protestors, not that "MLK Dream".
Thats why their actions make no sense to you. Because you are considering a Goal entirely different than the ones they actually have.
The Goal of EVERY protest is to have that become Chaotic to an ample degree to LOOT
and the Overall Goals are to get those Fat Reparation Checks and as much other Free Stuff as possible, as result of The Action.
Those are The Realities.
Any and All who are too blind to recognize these Truths are naive.
It would have been truly wonderful, were they able to get to a place where they even underSTOOD what Martin Luther King was saying, let alone actually took his message to heart and lived that.
Cuz yeah......MLK was a once ever 1000 years Leader. He "liked his Women" but imperfection is inherent to existing at all.
MLK was amazing, what he communicated via his words could have helped us ascend but, as you see, with John Lennon, JFK, RFK, Bob Marley and others...
....you come to this place and get a desire to Free Them then get an ability to possibly do that and a platform from which to accomplish Freedom for them (or at least advancement away from War) and you get...
...you get Killed.
Amen to that.
As the place that some reach, and the location that Martin Luther King ventured to was very much like arriving unto a bright sunny day from having been within a dark cave.
Its a place where one realizes that they are not supposed to remain here, without giving all that they have to Free Them from War.
Its a place where one
knows with every fiber of their being that the Purpose of their life is to lessen their Suffering. To the greatest extent possible, for them.....the single life that they are.
Its a place where you know you could not have existed here anyways,
with the Suffering they are made to endure because to do that, to exist here amidst that while doing nothing to try and alleviate it
is not a Life but Living Death and complicity in that Suffering & Injustice.
I know, huh?
Those Words and I don't exist in Support of Kaep and BLM?
As I have said elsewhere: Black Crime Rate is a huge contributor to "The Problem".
Kaep & BLM Make their Message this......what Chris expresses below and what The Focus (in addition to "Rogue Racist Cops" and overall betterment of Police/Minority Interaction) and then BLM, Colin Kaepernick & Myself...
then we can "talk":
