So allegedly this woman bought the lottery ticket in November but left it in her pants and the ticket was destroyed in the washing machine. They aren't going to pay to her. One of the requirements is that you have a photo front and back of ticket that you say you lost. There is video of her purchasing the ticket in the convenience store.

They have every sale/ticket registered electronically these days anyhow, so no reason they shouldn't pay her.

If not, it's just an excuse

I agree, when the woman hit the $1+ Billion PB here, they verified it electronically and by store video almost instantly. She didn’t come forward until a few days before the 6 month deadline...

What a pathetic cop out...

Not Really; is there any precedent set here? what about any/all unclaimed lotto tix I'm sure there has been some over the years..... --not up to the states /lotto commission to find-verify the winners thru technology --I believe it is written You need the ticket to claim prize!

I could be wrong tho.....

Let me ask you this If she lost the ticket and you found it and cashed it ................SHOULD SHE GET THE MONEY OR YOU !!!!!!

they have 6 months to claim it, or it goes unclaimed. I mean you’re supposed to sign the ticket as soon as you buy it, who really does that, however, I guess you can say she’s liable for it, also you must claim anything over $500 at the head lottery office and not a store (here anyways)...

This happens daily at OTB, where patron loses or forgets voucher, clerk reviews video and machine serial # and reissues new voucher, it’s only usually for a couple dollars though. I say give to her fuck the crooked lottery rules goes to education fuck off cancel lottery culture
