I've got a comp in July. I noticed that June they are practically giving away rooms. July and August got bumped up from there. And Sept the fun is over and regular pricing seems to be in effect.

Oddly I want to stay at El Cortez. Lol. I never have but have played their BJ there. Wonder if they come? I’ve had food comped but never a room. Usually stay at Westgate

Westgate not taking reservations yet. Hard to say what prices will be like until you can actually talk to some of these casinos.. Have no idea how many are actually taking reservations yet

Couldn't say on downtown, but plenty of casinos are taking reservations.

Yes, you can get rooms at any casino for about $25 a night.

But the resort fees are $500 a day :):)

Wonder if the resort fees will disappear. Not sure if Elcortez charges them.

Your comment said "these" casinos so I assumed you were talking about more than just Westgate.

Yeah. Most said they weren't opening til the 4th. So wasn't sure anyone was picking up the phone. They weren't at Westgate

Some are, some aren't. But it's easy enough to go to a search engine like orbitz and you'll see quite a few accepting reservations at reduced rates (but Westgate not one of them. ..as you stated).

Vegas sucks !
I lived there for 5-6 years

I never want to return, it's like California, lived there in the 80's

Been there, done that

Next !

Vegas and Cali offer nothing to me, at least So-Cali

My next desired location would be an English speaking country, even though my Spanish isn't too awful !

North or South Carolina Carolina would be a decent compromise between too cold Connecticut and too hot Florida, and affordable enough

Perhaps somewhere in Texas ?

Maybe even back to Colorado ?, A bit colder than I prefer, but great people there
I figure I have about 20, maybe 25 years max left before I croak, so time is against me at 56

75 ish, maybe 80 is about my max, it's in the 4th quarter anyway !

Males in my family don't live past 80, females can hit about 93 or so.

Realistically, I got 20 years left, that's being optimistic, I'm not going to live forever no way,and I don't even want to ever be 80 !

That's great Doug. I think at this point, everyone on this forum knows that you hate Vegas. However, this thread is not about you and your hatred for Vegas or California. Some of us actually like to visit Vegas and therefore we have discussions about it.

Nobody is talking about living there.. That's a different animal. Most here are talking 3-6 day visits

Back to the topic...only two Caesar's properties are going to be open next week (Flamingo and Caesars) although Linq restaurants will be open. A lot of the free standing restaurants may not open until Sept which is smart since summer is slow anyway and they have to wait for the conventions to ramp up.

Probably a good idea to check higer end properties that might have been over your budget in the past (Wynn had some good deals). Check Cosmo on the Marriott site as they have pool F&B credits too. Don't know if I would make my big trip back to Vegas and stay at the El Cortez or anywhere downtown for that matter. Besides the normal dysfunction, that is riot-central in Las Vegas right now plus homeless zombies are roaming around since the virus started.
