I'm sitting here right now about 3.5 hours from Blacksburg and less than 1.5 hours from Bristol [damn no tickets again].
Sittin in my living room up here with a step-son who played for Edgar Randall [West Virginia State]Bryan's dad, and he spoke with him couple of weeks ago.
I am down on USC -17.5 but of course I'm now hearing that Bryan is fired up, confident and the offense has looked good. That is of course what I would expect to hear up here from such a source.
Kind of a useless post, but the the key thing I'm picking up on is that VT is not one bit intimidated. Beautiful day here up on Rocky Top [what a change from FL.] and I'm leaving my -17.5 be. FWIW. Good Luck.

Va Tech's Defensive line has an BIG advantage over S CAL'S Offensive Line, who has only ONE player returning from last year...
Coach Beemer also has one of his BEST Defensive players back, namely Jim Davis who was injured all of last year...
Va Tech is so well coached and they have a history of coming out of the gates quicker than most teams due to excellent coaching and preparation starting in the Spring...

Great job gentlemen. I just watched my game and 2nd half middles evaporate. Even lost slight lean V.Tech 2nd half +9 1/2. Brutal. Crowd was pro V.Tech, refs, well, it appeared they had an agenda. Honestly thought Tech was enroute to an upset, overcoming questionable calls, left and right. But the one at the goal line, the beyond weak, outright wrong offensive interference call. You could just see the entire squad get deflated. Golden Child SC got pushed along. This team is favored to win it all? If you say so. I say no. No freakin way. They had a one man show with Bush. Receivers are below average, inexperienced. Patchwork O line resulting in many lookout block. Pocket? Who is thier backup? Good call gentlemen. My middlework was not profitable. Next. Good call. V Tech surprized me a bit. Fish is correct that Randall kid is a very good QB. Although you V Tech backers had to be a little uncomfortable when USC hit that last Field Goal, Knowing V Tech will throw the ball being deep in their own territory. I know you tough guys will say, nah never worried at all.
