using the fact that ruth didn't play against black pitchers against him is so ridiculous. name a black pitcher that could have got him out consistently. were there black pitchers in the 1920s and 1930s that were better than walter johnson and christy matheson?

even if there were, ruth had more homers than certain teams did some years. he played in the dead ball era. he played in some stadiums that were twice the size of wrigley field.

bonds is a complete ass. one helluva a hitter, but a complete ass.

Guarantee Bonds does STEROIDS! Look at his pictures a few years ago. Big difference! I hate him cause he thinks he's special! He don't even travel with the team! He travels seperate! Hope he never breaks this record even if it means a career ending injury! Hes lucky Ruth isn't playing today on steroids, he'd hit 90 dingers!

My grandfather played in the Philadelphia Athletic farm system in 1915! He had his catchers mitt and a few baseballs left from that era! In 1975 I found them in his garage and was hitting his baseball with some friends and we beat it up pretty well and my buddy destroyed the ball and believe it or not in the center was sand! TODAYS BASEBALLS have a ball inside tyhat bounces like a super ball! If you think Bonds could hit like Ruth did in his era then your nuts! If the Babe played today either drunk or sober he'd be a 90 homerun man! Also probably a 30 game winner as a pitcher!!!
