Just curious....with all the sportsbooks there in Costa Rica, are people able to walk in and make sports bets at Casinos?

Not any more, the CR government took care of that....but you can in Panama and The Dominican Republic....

Playing golf, even poorly in mid January doesn't suck.

:lol:that 3 footer you missed today for 4 skins is proof enough...

Actually you can play all year round, the only bad month is October, when the rains hit the hardest and actually makes fairways unplayable....

Wil, is that One LESS or One MORE Reason

One more reason to come home and be proud to be an American again but I do not want to hijack the thread and spell it out.

One CON is that too many Americans/Europeans have moved here in recent times, making land in certain areas unaffordable for the locals, mainly the beaches.

Well hopefullyu those people can afford to put septic tanks in their yards rather than just flush it down the river.

Pros: lots of beautiful rivers and beaches

Cons: Bowels ->toilet -> river -> ocean: "a turds adventure"

Now, What would Costa Rica be Without the Americans and Europeans there ??

Without them, How much would you be making ?
What kind of work would you be doing ?

So I wouldn't put that down as a Con. :drink:

I doubt if there is anything that is nonstop from Minneapolis to San Jose so with that in mind you would probably have to change planes in either Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston or Miami depending upon the airline. That will mean a layover of close to two hours so you are looking at about a 9 hour trip minimum.

Here is a link that will give you some prices and fight times. Use these airport abreviations: Minneapolis is MSP and San Jose, Costa Rica is SJO.

There are other sites that offer discount fares but this one has some pretty decent fares.
