some teams would go for 2 in this spot and some perhaps would not....

its nfl, no big deal, bears could have stopped it and didnt.....

I believe 31 out of the 32 teams in the NFL would go for 2 in that situation.. sorry Raiders fans

Wow,

This board is really filled with retards.

There is no fucking difference of being up by 4 or 5. You go for 2, because just in case they miss the PAT or have a bad snap, the game is tied.

How fucking hard is this to understand. Is this really the first time some of you are watching football?

Let me guess, most of you in thread are CPAs.

Dick Jauron wouldn't. He's a bleeping idiot.

Not certain Andy Reid would either. He's another one with GMRD (game management retardation disease)

The coaching staff doesn't care about the line. They are trying to win the game. It is a no brainer to go for two. I personally hated it, but it makes zero sense to kick an extra point. The odds of getting a two point conversion is around 33%, so if you were on the Bears the odds were in your favor. It just worked out that Jennings made a nice catch on the two pt. conversion.

Of course you go for 2.. Whats the difference between being up 4 or 5 anyway??

The chances of Missing an XP is probably 1%-2% but its still a chance and GB had nothing to lose trying it.

although irrelevant 99% of the time (maybe even 100% because i havent ever seen it come into play) they always go for 2 to go up by 6, late in games.........
if you didnt see it coming, you really dont know football......

Mike,

Have you seen how many people have asked this here? No wonder books clean up. People can't even understand the basics of math, yet they wager on games they obviously are not well-versed on and have a basic understanding of.

Only a brain dead coach wouldn't go for two. I had the Bears +4-1/2 and was hoping the GB coach wasn't brain dead (can't take that for granted). It didn't help that the Bears only fielded 10 players on the 2 point conversion.

Funny you mention that. I was concerned that Mac was stupid enough to not go for 2.

Remember last year when he played for a 54 yard game winning FG vs Minny. Team could have easily gotten closer.
