Why was my brown moderator thread locked and RR'd??

But why was it locked? Especially when a moderator replied to it twice!

Question for you: given that this is an online forum and there are no in-person interviews, would you feel it prudent of us to ask people what colour they are before hiring them?

Another question: if NOT hiring any brown people is racist, then what is it when you hire someone specifically BECAUSE they are brown?

(Before you accuse me of racism, know that I feel precisely the same about 'affirmative action' for women.)

Inflammatory and baseless? Like ku said, I was just messing around, I see no reason why it should have been locked, especially with the other junk around here.

Is Journeyman a moderator again? He's the only one I can see being sensitive enough to rubber room AND lock a silly thread like that.

And nobody has answered the key question.

You all hate on Skins and roach, but Olddirty is the ideal moderator, he's well liked, he is the consummate gambler and he and TT can get into drinking competitions. Fun for everyone

Also, my reply that it was 'inflammatory and baseless' was a guess as to the thinking of the mod who moved it. Not atypical to move threads of that nature.

The "LOCK" was an accident, it was only intended to be moved

I left the check mark in close thread by accident when I moved the thread to The Rubber Room.

For the record we do not use skin color as a factor when we hire moderators or anyone else for that matter. To imply we do is really unfair.

FWIW - I have never seen Iceman or OldManTed and natrually never saw Journeyman. The Rx.com just tries to do it's best and hire the poster that we feel will best suit the job.

A mod looks at this menu when he changes a thread. The top function Close Thread always has the little green ball in it and you have to remove it by clicking on it with your mouse before you do anythng else. I forgot to do that and the thread got moved and closed at the same time - it was an accident and totally my fault that it happened. Sorry, wilheim
