In my mind, I really couldnt lay the 7 points with the Pats. A much repsect as I have for them, I just cant do it. The Eagles are the smart play here, and the right play. Living out here, Ive had no choice but to see every Patriots game this year. They are a hell of a team. And the only way I can see them blowing the doors off of the Eagles, is to get them to turn the ball over. Philly doesnt turn it over very much, and I personally dont think they will start now. Westbrook hasnt fumbled all year rushing, and Westbrook and T.O. have each fumbled once on recieving plays. (MCnabb once rushing). They dont run the ball over very much.
On the other side, Dillon has lost 3 fumbles rushing, Brady lost 2, with Faulk and Dillon losing one each recieving.
Bottom line Philly is the second best coached team in the NFL.. If the Eagles turn the ball over early, like the Steelers and Colts, then it will be a similar fate, because nobody takes advantage of a turnover like the Patriots. But I think the Eagles will make some good decisions, play smart, and hang right with them.
I have looked for any piece of evidence to make me take the Patriots -7 , and I still havent seen it. Who knows maybe they blow them out.. Nobody out here gives the Eagles a shot. Local bookies have the Patriots -9 or -10. All I know is Any given Sunday. Good luck to everyone, enjoy the game

Yo dawg, sportsbetting.com has a good deal.

You get Eagles +7.5 for -105

It may be better elsewhere, but this is the site I use.

IMO, the smart money is on the Eagles and they have about a 65% chance to cover the 7.5 points.

Fumble analysis comparison is flawed b/c Dillon has touched the ball how many more times than Westbrook and TO combined?

Your bias against NE is the evidence." Ive had no choice but to see every Patriots game this year. "??? You sound like somebody handcuffed you to a chair and forced you to watch them. OK the evidence. And its simple. NE is the better team. They come from a stronger conference. NE has beaten the crap out of teams Philly lost to or almost lost to in close games. Bill Belechick. The master. Tom Brady (2 time SB MVP)(never lost a playoff game period)(anyone think he's due?-yeah so's Jesus) vs. a rookie superbowl QB who lost his go to guy (Lewis), has another playing with a broken leg,(TO) and another whose gonna be lookin out more for Rodney Harrison and the pain comin than McNabbs passes (Freddy)That leaves Westbrook- without a chance because theyll shut the running game down 1st thing now.Who are they gonna thow to. that guy they got from the contruction site job who hasnt caught a football in 2 years? GL. Theyll blitz McNabb relentlessly and he wont have time to throw long so hes now reduced to throwing 10 to 15 yard hook patterns. Thats where Bruschi and Harrison step in and picks them off. The SuperBowl blowout factor. Weiss's last game will not leave anything in the bag. Crennel's last game will defensively confuse McNabb with so many different looks it amazing. Theres a reason theyre being hired by other teams. There the best. So from the Head Coach down to a lowly kicker named Vinateri, you have a record of excellence that cannot be surpassed with what Philly brings to the table. They are a house of cards. And they are about to fall. Simple enough for even you to understand?

Hey Recall, I see you havent been here very long so Ill give you the benifit of the doubt. If you dont like what I say in my thread, go else where. Im just giving my opinion, thats all. I live here, moved here in august, im not a pats fan, but actually a Bengals fan. I have nothign against them, but on sundays everyone is watching the pats. If you live here you will understand. And yes, it was very easy for me to understand. It was a close game, just like I thought. Now go bash someone else, while I count my money.. Take a hike

To be honest, I dont know. All I know is it wasnt enough to cover the spread, and thats all I care about. It was a good game, not as good as last year, but If Mcnabb didnt throw that INT, it might have been a little more interesting.

Ne Played Like Crap

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->NE PLAYED LIKE CRAP. gave was easy over and NE covers easily. NE didn't show for the 1st H and the game was over and NE for game but for the trade-off of NE's last FG for TD...

THE DEATH OF BRADY'S GRANDMUM for anyside or total made you loser/winner...you can't handicap for that...in VEGAS it is now known as GRANDMUM'S DAY :sad3:

Recall and Petre,

You guys should have known this was gonna happen. Look at the lopsided point spread. It was like that because New England shocked the world when they beat the Colts.

Look at the numbers ... Philly is not the Steelers and Philly is not the Colts. There were many reasons to believe that this game would be close.

New England wins the Super Bowl and you think they played like crap??? It's easy for you to say sitting on your ass watching the game. Do your homework next time and don't just assume that the favorite is going to blow out the underdog just because it's the Super Bowl.

The only real evidence people pointed out as to why NE beats up Philly is the strength of conference. You will learn that strength of schedule doesn't matter that much in the NFL. Look at the team's record and how they won their games to figure out who will win in the playoffs ... NOT how good other team's are in the division and conference. It's still the NFL and it's not college football where schedule strength varies by a ton between different teams.
