I am almost 45 years old, and I have never had an
evangelical Christian cold-call me, or knock on my door.
I am proud to be an evangelical Christian, and have been active in the
church for most of my life, and I have never been involved with, nor
have heard of anyone that was involved with cold-calling people,
or evangelizing by knocking on people's doors.

Come on now. I think you've read enough of my contributions past couple years to know I'm not a kneejerk Fundy Christian.
I'm merely posing the possibility that someone "walking on water" should not neccesarily be dismissed if one - like me - believes that higher levels of spiritual enlightenment could permit someone to do things that others of us might not fully be able to explain.

Well we each draw our own personal boundaries of belief
To accept the fable of the Great Flood as described in Genesis, one must accept a God that is willing to murder every man, woman and child on the planet (save for a lucky eight).
That's one I won't subscribe to. Your own mileage may vary.

I give my dog his shots as need be. He gives out a yelp and looks at me like, "you bastard. that hurt".
It was for his own good though. As much smarter than I am to my dog, God is that much smarter than I. And then some....
We will never truly understand the intentions. Wasting your time trying to is a waste of time.
