They beat Georgia a month ago 41-24
Most will say Georgia had the better body of work.

But Alabama absolutely be favored. Despite having more iffy performances throughout the season, they whipped Georgia head to head — it was not as close as that 17 point margin says it was. It was an ass-beating

People will argue it’s hard to beat a team twice. True sometimes, but it’s hard to envision how one could argue Georgia is better after how bad that first meeting was.

And this isn’t even factoring in how much Alabama just owns Georgia in the rivalry

Treat this line like another Christmas gift . I’d be looking at getting a good price for some alternate line like Alabama -7 or Alabama -9.5

Just like the committee always says -head to head doesn't matter as much as the body of work!

People stayed on Georgia after the Clemson win without considering Clemson was an average team. Even if you want to consider these teams even in talent, Alabama has a huge coaching edge plus Georgia has to overcome seven losses in a row including four of those when GA was higher rated. I was prepared to lay 2.5 with Bama.

I will say that the sharp money in Vegas has pushed the line to Georgia -3.

Just curious, how long have they been taking bets on this game?

If it's been all season, then maybe they have a ton more action on GA, maybe they need to leave it at plus 3, maybe they want some Bama action

Pure speculation on my part

I don’t even follow CFB besides casually but UGA was -7 in the first meeting and now Bama is without a top 2 WR, how much do people expect the line to move off 1 result?

4.5 pts + an injury is a lot

True

I'm not complaining about it. It's great when the inferior team is favored

I don't think they dominated them last game. UGA had multiple 4th down attempts within the Bama 30 yardline that they couldn't pick up. Bama's offense had a lot of success but I think UGA slows them down a little better this time and UGA sticks with the run a little more

Should be a good game. I am a casual CFB fan but am excited about this one.

Saban OWNS Georgia, think 7-1 or 8-1 against them. Books are begging for Bama action and they'll get it. WHY? Don't be surprised if Covid destroy's this game. Betting early might be a no-no in this matchup. The ole saying IF something looks too good to be true, it usually isn't!

These lines/movement can play serious mind games.

First game showed me that Georgia may not be able to run the ball effectively on Alabama. I'm not sure why this will change this time around. I think a lot of Georgia backers are calling for Kirby to stick with the run game longer, but who knows if he will. He may ask Bennett to try and win the game for them if Georgia can't get anything going in the running game early on. That's not a good proposition, because Bennett is not very good when he doesn't have the running game to compliment him.

I also think the semi-finals played out perfectly for Alabama. They didn't have to do too much offensively. They were just on cruise control -- didn't look amazing, but were in control of the game from start to finish. They've had similar outings in CFP semi-finals. Meanwhile, Georgia is gonna be feeling themselves after crushing Michigan. I think it's a perfect scenario for Alabama

I think trouncing a team twice is tough, but I think Alabama is the pick here. I'm not buying the "too good to be true" angle. I think Saban can coach circles around Kirby, and the fact that they are underdogs again is gonna motivate this team.

Avacado's post is pretty solid.

Bigger profit for me on Bama. Just have to be more creative with GA to even things out.
