Why don't the Sixers trade Simmons for Harden?

Trade deadline looming.....

I don't understand why the Sixers don't go ahead and pull the trigger here, even if the Nets are asking for a second fairly valuable piece.

Simmons basically doesn't play for you anymore, and you're not good enough to beat Milwaukee in a 7-game series as constructed. Harden is a little dinged up, but he would be a nice fit with Embiid and take a little bit of the offensive load off him.

Harden isn't a good fit in Brooklyn and clearly isn't happy with the Kyrie situation. He would probably be rejuvenated in a new setting with a pretty strong culture like the one in Philly. I understand the risk with free agency looming, but decent chance the Sixers could retain him and it's not like Simmons is ever gonna play for you again

From Brooklyn's point of view, Simmons would be a nice fit with his length, defense, and playmaking; and adding another decent piece alongside him could add some much needed depth.

Let's get this deal done! I don't want fucking Pacers/Kings to be the highlight of the trade deadline LMAO

Because Simmons is a solid-D, offensively inept head case.

There we go
Simmons and Seth Curry to Brooklyn with Drummond and two firsts

Harden to Philly with Millsap

Great trade, though Brooklyn wins it IMO

I agree. Philli needed more offense (even though fat fuck Harden not what he used to be) because they are very good on defense but go on these weird scoring droughts for minutes at a time.

In the Nets case, they have plenty of scoring but could use Simmons. He sucks on Free Throws though.

Great trade for both teams.
