like Fruit-cake Al, Ambassador Braun, Rep Kucinich.

Lieberman & Kerry should consider throwing in the towel too.

I don't know what these candidate are trying to achieve, all they're accomplishing is taking air time away from somebody that has to face Bush. Don't they realize they are hurting their own party??

They would if they saw someone that they felt could win the election, but since no one looks like a winner right now they won't. Only reason to quit now is because you are broke and no one fits that bill yet. After the Feb 3rd primaries most of these daisies will drop out, Kucinich and Sharpton might be the third wheel types that feel they need the publicity for alterior motives.

I suspect you're right Bill. Sharpton will do ANYTHING for airtime - he disgusts me.

Who do you thing has a realistic shot, even if it is a longshot?

Just Dean, Gephardt, Kerry & Clark?

Dean and Dean, maybe 5-10% for Clark. Kerry is dead already, the guy just doesn't get it. Gephardt has too narrow a base to ever win a nomination. Edwards might do well to stay in the race awhile, he would seem to have a lot of potential in the future, would be good for him to pick up some more national name recognition and maybe fight a few battles for future reference. I think he went way too far to the left to win and maybe he will learn the lesson for the future.
