Claims happen. Most of the time it is the customer who called in the wrong play, hung up before the read back, or tried to catch a bad/mis-posted line. If it is once in a few months that a legit claim comes in, the tapes were listened to, and the clerk was wrong then there is no big deal there.
If it consistently happens, the clerk sucks or he is high at work and it is time to fire the piece of shit.

gotta agreed with you but here is a story that really sorprise me long ago. About 3 years ago a great book located in Plaza Mayor start giving bonus to the clerks for no claims and the more tiquest you take the better bonus, anyway, there were few clerks with claims start bitching, no fair, bla,bla, i said well if you put attention to your call and focus, and dont watch tv while on the call bla,bla then may get your bonus....soon enought i got 2 claims in the following months and no Bonus for me... but funny part is that I shut those clerks that were bitching from having claims...soon the whole office knew i was getting claims like never before in same month... it just happedns some times, but is worse when you open your mouth, and then right away happend to you.

i agree with u... perhaps i didnt expressed myself correctly i wasnt putting the clerking position down, u gotta start somewhere right? in fact in a thread that i believed u started about some job openings i made a point about the lack of starting good salaries for experienced clerks in the market nowadays. What i wanted to say really was that in that position you are not supposed/or allowed to distract yourself much. Thats the why of the leash comment. Cheers.

They can get an apartment in the capital for $100 and eat well for
50 cents or less a meal. A buck if they eat out.
In Canada a slice of pizza & can of coke can be had for 1.50.
