First let me say, I respect Jack Jones as a handicapper. He has a long documented track record. However though, I feel his pick tonight West Virginia +11 is a reach. There are not many games on the board and I think he is obligated to put up at least 1 pick. The problem here is the numbers do not add up. Kansas St. has beaten many quality teams at home and by margin ( Baylor 81-61, Iowa St. 79-70, Texas 83-57, Oklahoma 69-60, and most impressive Florida 67-61). Now I can say with confidence that Texas is the only team on this list that is not a tournament team.
What does he see in West Virginia. Last game beat Texas Tech by 2 points at home. The most troubling thing is big losses on the road in conference ( Baylor 80-60, Oklahoma State 80-66,Purdue 79-52, ). I can go on and on with bad road losses this year. When I handicap I always use Jack Jones as a reference point, but beware of this play tonight. I use him when there are a lot of games on the board, but I feel this play is a huge reach.:think2:
