We got Saddam and know for sure that there's nothing left there that would constitute much of a threat to any other country, let alone the US. 98% of the violence there is because we're over there. So just give the local police lots of machine guns and say "have fun guys".

Too funny. At times I have wondered that myself, why not make Osama and his fools happy and let them have their kingdoms free of our intervention. Could it really be that you could substitute stability with the word oil??? Without oil we would care about that area about as much as we care about most of Africa.
