You're not American, but it is illegal to discriminate in this country on the basis of race. You can't draw conclusions or make wide ranging inferences from one Craigs list ad.

So far, the only people that I've heard or read say the U.S. is the greatest country are the people who actually live here..I find it a little pompous to say we're living in the greatest country if you haven't actually visted or lived in other places..I have a couple friends who moved to Europe a few years ago..They told me it was the best move they ever made...Of course they don't base their "best places to live" on winning wars and capitalism, like many people here do.

so you're basically saying if you had a black and white candidate in front of you with equal merits, it'd be ok selecting the white guy just because you feel more comfortable around him, ie his race.

blacks are overrepresented in govt jobs, front and center for both affirmative action. alot of those same people would be unemployable if trying to find and maintain jobs in the real economy.

eliminates your concept of competition if you will always pick the white guy. what situation would arise where there would be more black people with merits over white people with merits when black people make up 15 percent of the population?

to force these companies to get outside there comfort zone, and realize how productive a diverse work force can be.
