The Eagles are in a better position than most teams would be by have a veteran QB backing up their starter.Foles is more than capable of running an offense, due to him being a former starter and for how long he has been around..It's not like someone coming in that has no experience of being in this type of position,so i don't know why all the talk about, are the Eagles going to go out and get this guy or that guy, they have better than what it out there.

Didn't Foles throw for 27 TDs & 2 picks in 2013 for Philly? Or something like that? Philly may need a back up to Foles, then yes, but not to replace Foles.

Even with Wentz healthy, I never thought they would get to the SB.

IMO: the Eagles are going to run about the same Offense with Nick Foles as the #1 QB.

Originally a third-round draft choice (88th overall) by the Eagles in the 2012 NFL Draft,

2014 - PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (8/8)
Posted his third career 400+ yard performance (411) while setting career highs with 62 attempts and 36 completions at Ari. (10/26/14)
The Eagles’ all-time leader in passer rating (94.2), Foles has completed 776-of-1,285 (60.4%) attempts for 9,215 yards, 56 TDs and an 88.2 passer rating in 42 career games (36 starts).

**************************************************
2016: In Kansas City and a reunion with head coach Andy Reid and a familiar system,

2016 - KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (3/1)
Saw action in three games (one start) as a back-up to QB Alex Smith.
Completed 36-of-55 (65.5%) attempts for 410 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs and a 105.9 passer rating.

He played substantially in two games that season and threw three touchdowns and zero interceptions and looked good enough that the Eagles made a considerable investment to bring Foles back to Philadelphia as insurance for Wentz.

**************************************************

Backup QB: Nate Sudfeld ( 6' 5" / 227 )- an original sixth-round pick in 2016, spent his rookie season in Washington on the practice squad with Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy on the active roster. After being released at the end of this year's preseason, he chose not to re-sign with the Redskins' practice squad and joined the Eagles' one instead.

Two months later, the Eagles promoted Sudfeld to the active roster after another team wanted to sign him.

All the talk in Philly about getting another QB is focused on who would back up Foles if he got dinged. They aren't looking to replace Foles.

2013 - ( 27-2 ) throwing 27 TDs against 2 INTs for a 119.2 passer rating.

*His 13.5 TD-INT ratio in 2013 ranks 2nd in NFL single-season history, trailing only Tom Brady in 2016 (14.0 - 28 TDs, 2 INTs).
*His 19 TDs to start a season without an INT were the 2nd most in NFL history, behind Peyton Manning (20 in 2013).
*Became the first Eagle to lead the league in passer rating since Tommy Thompson in 1949.

Backup QB: Nate Sudfeld would be the man, he isn't horrible.
from what he has done in practice . . has the tools, inconsistent passing is his biggest problem.

Seems like a pretty big problem for a QB :)

Yeah, Agree . . . but for a 3rd stringer, he isn't horrible.
The Eagles are content to go with the 2 QB's for now.
Another injury, it would be interesting to see what their thinking is ?
